Patrick Mullin

Of Dorchester, formerly of Charlestown

Patrick J. Mullin of Dorchester, formerly of Charlestown, died on Dec. 30.

A US Navy veteran of the Korean War, he was a former employee of the Marr Companies and a member of St. Brendan’s Holy Name Society.

The beloved husband of Patricia M. (Lydon), he was the loving father of Patrick and his wife, Susan Mullin of South Weymouth, Michael and his wife, Susanne Mullin of Foxboro, Stephen Mullin B.F.D. of Dorchester and his late wife, Jeanne, James and his wife, Rose Mullin of South Weymouth, Kathleen and her husband, Mark McCarron of Holbrook, Daniel Mullin of Dorchester and the late William Mullin; devoted brother of Gregory of Easton, John of South Boston, James of Texas and the late Luke, Thomas, Daniel Mullin and Mary Kane. He is also survived by nine loving grandchildren and one great grandchild.

James Brogan

Active in a Number of Charlestown Organizations

James F. Brogan of Charlestown died on Dec. 26. He was 70 years old.

A member of the Columbia University Class of 1963 and The Management Development Program at Harvard University Business School, Class of 1977, he was a former Board Member of The Friends of Charlestown Navy Yard, The Harvard/Kent School Partnership Board and The Flagship Wharf Condo Association.

He was the beloved husband of Terri (Healey) Brogan; devoted father of Hannah Brogan of Charlestown, James F. Brogan and his wife, Felicia of Coral Springs, FL, Michael S. Brogan and his wife, Anna of Collegeville, PA and David R. Brogan of Port Washington, NY; loving grandfather of James, Emma, Luke and Olivia and beloved brother of William Brogan of New York.

Salvatore ‘Sal’ Lombardo

Of Dartmouth, formerly of Charlestown

Salvatore “Sal” J. Lombardo of Dartmouth, formerly of Charlestown and Fairhaven, died on Dec. 31. He was 83 years old.

He was the husband of Ruth (Henkels) Lombardo.

Rita Shea

Retired Secretary at the Warren/Prescott School

Rita M. (Shea) Shea of Charlestown died on Dec. 25. She was 84 years old.

She was a member of The Old Charlestown Schoolgirls Association and Retired Secretary to the Principal of The Warren/Prescott School.

She was the beloved wife of the late John J. Shea; devoted mother of Eileen P. Chandhoke and her husband, Vikas, Brian D. Shea and his wife, Sara, Robert K. Shea and his wife, Patricia, and the late John J. Shea, Jr.; loving grandmother of Bridgette, Maeve, Jeremy, and Aidan; beloved sister of the late Margaret Lester and Kathleen “Patsy” Shea.

Funeral arrangements were by the Frank H. Carr Funeral Home, Charlestown. Burial was at the Mass. National Cemetery, Bourne.
