Little League News

The Board of Directors for Charlestown Little League would like to express their sincere appreciation to the 99 Restaurant, Senator Sal DiDomenico, the Boston Police Department (K-9 Officer Sean Williams, Sergeant Tom Lema, Officer Bob Luongo and Officer Christine Vraibel), Friendly’s Restaurant, Engine 32 and Ladder 9, Representative Gene O’Flaherty, former City Councilor Mike Flaherty, and the teenage concession stand employees for helping make the annual “Picture Day” a tremendous success.

As the 2011 Little League playoffs draw to a close, the All Star teams will soon be holding tryouts for the summer tournament season.  The Charlestown District 9 All Star team, comprised of 12-year-olds, will do battle against some of the best talent in the Boston area in their quest to reach Williamsport PA.  In addition, the 9-year-old, 10-year-old and 11-year-old All Star teams will be competing in various tournaments throughout the region.  For further information on tryout schedules, visit the Little League website at www.leaguelineup.com/Charlestown-l-l.  There is also a photo album icon on the main menu which contains more than a hundred individual and action photos of the players.
