Francis P. Keane

Of Charlestown

Francis P. “Brother” Keane died on May 14.

He was the beloved husband of the late Dorothy (Addison) Keane. Father of Francis P. Keane, Jr. and the late Sharon Marino. Brother of Edward Keane, Peggy Melanson, Nancy Jackson and the late Bonnie Sacco and Kay Cadigan. Beloved grandfather of Michael Marino, Rory and Michelle Fitzgerald, Nicole and David DeMaio, Matthew and Christopher Keane. Also survived by six great grandchildren. He was a U.S. Army veteran of WWII.

Funeral from the John H. Sawyer Funeral Home, 329 Bunker Hill St. is today, Thursday, May 19 at 9:10 a.m. with Funeral Mass in St. Francis de Sales Church at 10 a.m.

Relatives and friends invited. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, remem­brances in Brother’s name may be made to the Old Charlestown Schoolboys Assoc., P.O. Box 290375, Charlestown, MA 02129.

Mary Farren

Formerly of Charlestown

Mary T. Farren of Malden, formerly of Charlestown, died on May 12. She was 82 years old.

She was the beloved daughter of the late Elizabeth (McBride) and Joseph Farren; devoted sister of the late Sr. Mary Gilmoira, C.S.J., Catherine Sullivan, Ann E. Crowley, John Farren, Frances G. Buckley, Joseph Farren and Daniel Farren and aunt of sev­eral loving nieces, nephews, grand nieces and grand nephews.

Steven Headle

Formerly of Charlestown

Steven C. Headle of Everett, formerly of Charlestown, died on May 6.

He was the beloved father of Erin, Elizabeth and Sean Headle; son of Lawrence and Joan (Walsh) Headle; brother of Kathleen Lent, Timothy Headle, Jodi Baldwin and the late Lawrence Headle and Maura Goss.

Funeral arrangements were entrusted to the John H. Sawyer Funeral Home, Charlestown. In lieu of flowers, memorial remembrances may be made to the Golden Age Center, 382 Main Street, Charlestown, MA 02129.

Mary Jane Ferguson

Formerly of Charlestown

Mary Jane (Leach) Ferguson, formerly of Charlestown, died suddenly on May 8. She was 68 years old.

She is survived by her children, Robert Cutler and his wife, Beth, of Abilene TX, Peter Cutler and his wife, Kimberly, of Billerica, Mary Jane Cutler of Billerica, Donald Ferguson and his wife, Misty, of Newnan, GA, Harold Ferguson and his wife, Mary, and Richard Ferguson, all of Milford and the late Raymond Cutler. She was the loving grandmother to 12 grand­children and the sister to 14 brothers and sisters, as well as the aunt to many nieces and nephews. A memorial service was held at St. Johns Church, West Roxbury.

Rita Mahoney

Formerly of Charlestown

Rita M. (Scannell) Mahoney of Wakefield, formerly of Charlestown, died on May 10. She was 92 years old.

A retired employee of New England Telephone Co., she was the beloved wife of the late James J. Mahoney, the devoted sis­ter of the late Helen McCluskey, Sr. Audrey Scannell C.S.J., Joseph, James, Edward, Michael and Timothy Scannell; loving aunt of many nieces and nephews.
