Police Briefs 05.05.2011

04/25/11 – Drugs

As a result of an investigation in the area of Old Ironsides Way an individual was issued a citation for possession of marijuana.

04/25/11 – Assault and  Battery, Knife

Officers responded to a radio call for a man stabbed on Vine Street. Upon arrival they observed a male suffering from stab wounds to the chest. Officers attempted to gather information but the victim refused to cooperate. Evidence was gathered. The investigation is ongoing.

04/26/11 – Investigate Person

A victim on Tibbetts Town Way stated that two light-skinned Hispanic males dressed as maintenance workers attempted to gain entry to her home by stating they were there to do an inspection. When the family dog snapped at them they left the home, got in a car and drove away. No description of the car was given and according to management no inspections were scheduled.

04/28/11 – Breaking and Entering, Non-residence

Officers responded to Chelsea Street for a report of a break-in. On arrival at the business they observed the front door smashed in. A search of the store was done but it is unknown at this time if anything was taken. The premises were secured pending notification of the owners.

04/27/11 – Attempted Breaking and Enterin

A victim on Main Street reported that, when she went to open her store  in the morning, she observed the window on the right side of the front door near the lock had been broken. Suspects were unable to gain entry. No other damage was observed.

04/29/11 – Asault and Battery by Means of a Dangerous Wepaon, Gun

Officers responded to Medford Street for a report of a person shot. Upon their arrival the victim was placed in an ambulance and transported to Mass. General Hospital. An investigation is ongoing.

05/01/11 – Warrant Arrest

Officers on Bunker Hill Street  placed an individual under arrest for outstanding Malden Court and Peabody Court warrants.

05/01/11 – Warrant Arrest

Officers on Medford Street placed an individual under arrest for an outstanding Charlestown District Court warrant. The suspect was also charged with possession of a Class B substance.
