I don’t know if it’s the water they drink, but the Caldwell’s sure know how to produce athletes. John is a defenseman for the Harvard University hockey team and, certainly, Julia is no exception. Already an All Star hockey player for Boston Latin, she is currently belting out extra-base hits for the softball team.
Julia has spent the last few years piling up trophies as one of the elite players in the Charlestown CYO Girls Softball program. What I noticed most however, and what I consider to be her greatest quality, is Julia’s sense of camaraderie. If any of her teammates make a good play she is the first to congratulate them, but more importantly, if her teammates make a bad play she is the first to console and encourage them.
I suspect we will be reading about her athletic exploits for years to come so in the meantime Julia, keep smiling!
