Police Briefs 10-31-2019

Motor Vehicle Accident

10/01/19 – A victim on Cambridge Street who was riding his bike reported he did not see the turn signal of an approaching truck and was unable to avoid contact. The victim suffered several abrasions but was able to continue on his way to work.

Larceny

10/01/19 – A victim on Medford Street reported unknown person(s) stole the golf cart security uses to patrol the property. The cart was recovered, and several of the possible suspects have been identified.  The matter is under investigation.

Auto Theft

10/02/19 – A victim on North Mead Street reported he parked his white Honda the evening before, but when he returned the next morning, the car was missing. The Stolen Car Unit has been notified if the matter.

Aggravated Assault

10/04/19 – As a result of a fight that occurred on Medford Street, an individual was placed under arrest charged with assault and battery with a dangerous weapon (shod foot) and two counts of resisting arrest and assault and battery on a police officer

Breaking and Entering – Motor Vehicle

10/07/19 – A victim on Soley Street reports unknown person(s) smashed the front passenger window of his motor vehicle and stole his laptop.

Aggravated Assault

10/08/19 – As a result of a confrontation with his neighbors, an individual was stabbed in the thigh and the side. He was transported to Massachusetts General Hospital for treatment of his injuries. Information on the suspect was gathered at the scene, and the matter is under investigation.

Larceny

10/12/19 – A victim on St. Martin Street reported a male suspect came to his home and began to point out problems with the victim’s roof, stating he could repair it but needed money upfront. The victim gave the suspect the money he requested, but the suspect never returned to perform the work. The money was never returned, and detectives are investigating.

Warrant

10/13/19 – Officers in the area of Vine Street placed an individual under arrest for an outstanding East Boston court warrant charging shoplifting

Larceny

10/15/19 – A victim on Harvard Street reported unknown person(s) entered his motor vehicle and stole a bag. Three were no signs of forced entry, and the victim stated the car was locked.

Investigate Property

10/17/19 – A victim on Bartlett Street reported a tree fell onto his property, damaging his fence, as well as his motor vehicle.
