Due to unforeseen permitting discrepancies, the Charlestown Resident Alliance was unable to secure permitting on the field of the high school for their Back to School event on Aug 25. Instead they were able to secure permitting on Barry Field (the Oilies) at 190 Chelsea St. located at the very end of Medford St. near the Tobin Bridge. That will allow them more space on the field. This will be the new location. They have also extended registration for backpack signups until August 17 at the BCYF in Charlestown located at 255 Medford St. The event will run from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. It is in collaboration with the Alliance, Boston Housing, BCYF and Boston Dream Center.
