RACING TO RETIREMENT WITH JOE BRENNAN
Financial Advisor Joe Brennan will host a Kentucky Derby themed Racing to Retirement event on Thursday, May 3, from 6-7:15 p.m. at the Spaulding Rehab Conference Center.
The guest speaker will be Murray Todd, a national expert on Social Security and retirement issues. The 75-minute program will focus on income planning and being financially secure for those nearing the age to draw Social Security benefits and those already in retirement. There will be complimentary parking and light refreshments served. One lucky attendee will receive a $100 Kentucky Derby gift card to Suffolk Downs.

Registration for our 2018/2019 season is being held:
Saturday May 12th 2018  10am to 1pm at the Mishawum Hall  95 Dunstable Street  Charlestown, MA
Ages are:  4 years old by 10/1/18 to 9 years old. (anyone who turns 10 years old before 2/1/19 is to old.
You do not have to live in Charlestown to play.
Little League Opening Day
Charlestown Little League’s Opening Day parade and games will be held this Saturday April 28. The parade will begin on Bunker Hill Street¬†at Hayes Square. Teams should communicate with their coaches and gather at the Harvard Kent playground at 8am. The parade along Bunker Hill Street will end at the Little League diamond at Ryan playground where the Opening day ceremonies will occur. All are welcome to cheer on the players along the parade route and in the games that follow! Concessions and face painting will be available as well.¬†
Special Townies Annual Fundraiser
The Special Townies Annual fundraiser will be held on Friday May 4 , 2018 from 7:00pm – 11:00pm at the
Charlestown Knights of Columbus . Tickets are $25 per person. You can reserve a table with the purchase of ten tickets, but get your tickets early, there are only twenty tables that will be reserved.

Coffee Hour with Mayor Walsh
Mayor Martin J Walsh Invites you to attend his Neighborhood Coffee Hour in Charlestown. The event will be held at the Training Field (Winthrop Square) at 55 Winthrop St. on Wednesday, May 9, from 9:30 AM -10:30 AM in Charlestown. The Mayor and representatives from many city departments will be in attendance and free coffee, donuts and other treats will be served. As always plants from the Parks Department garden will be given as gifts.
KENNEDY CENTER FUNDRAISER
Raise your glass and celebrate the Kennedy Center! Join us for our spring wine tasting on Sunday, April 29, from 1-4 p.m. at the Navy Yard Bistro. Enjoy an afternoon with friends while tasting wonderful wine and experiencing tasty hors d’oeuvres.
