Charlestown Stroll for Hope To Raise Funds for Cancer Patients

The First Annual Charlestown Stroll for Hope will take place on Sunday, October 26, 2014 at 10 am starting and finishing at the Knights of Columbus Hall, 545 Medford Street, Charlestown. Registration starts at 8 am.

Charlestown has the highest cancer rate in all of Boston. The “Stroll” will raise funds for residents of Charlestown who are struggling with this terrible disease. All money collected will be used to aid in the expenses that are not covered by medical insurance. Too many families and friends experience additionalcosts that are required while going through treatments, adding a burden above their everyday needs.

The “Stroll” will take place on some of Charlestown’s well traveled streets, ideal for walkers, babies in carriages, bicycles and wheel chairs. Dog owners are also encouraged to join in the fun. All are welcome! Refreshments will be served.

Additionally, guest speakers will provide informative talks and answer questions at the end of the walk. For more information, get a “Stroll” application form, pre-register or give a donation, please contact: Stroll for Hope Committee, P. O Box 243, Charlestown, MA 02129.
