James Sadler

Worked in Construction and Fire Equipment Manufacture

James E. Sadler of 60 Washington St., Somerville passed away on January 12, 2012. He was 82 years old.

Born in Baltimore, Maryland on August 17, 1931, he was raised in a family of six boys and one girl by his father, Raymond and his mother, Viola Owens Sadler.

He enlisted and served in the National Guard from 1949 to April 23, 1952 and then entered the US Army on April 24, 1952. He served overseas in Italy and was honorably discharged as Corporal on April 29, 1960. He was employed in the construction business and also in the manufacture of fire equipment for the Fire Department.

Mr. Sadler leaves behind two surviving brothers, Carroll Roger Sadler of Delaware and Robert Sadler and his wife, Sandy of Elmore, Ohio. He will be sadly missed and was tremendously loved by his many friends and relatives, notably Tena and George McNeil and their son, Stefan of Alton, NH and his dear friend Sally Klessens and her family of Somerville.

He will be interred at the Bourne Veterans Cemetery after cremation. A Memorial Mass will be said at St. Ann Church on February 8 at 4 p.m. to commemorate and celebrate his life. May he rest in eternal peace until we meet again. God rest his soul.
