The annual Charlestown Battle of Bunker Hill Day Parade will be held on this Sunday June 16 starting at 12:30 p.m. Three divisions will take part in the parade that starts at Hayes Square (Chelsea and Vine Streets) and will end at The Training Field on Winthrop Street.
Many other events will be part of the celebration beginning with the annual Bunker Hill Day breakfast at the Knights of Columbus Hall on medford Street starting at 8:30 to 11 a.m. on Sunday. For the parade details see page 7.
Local cable will be broadcasting the parade with hosts Kathy Giordano and Rep. Eugene O’Flaherty. See page 16 for more cable television details. A parking ban will be in effect the day of teh parade and cars will be towed.
