With the holidays in the rear view mirror, Charelstown residents can kick their trees to the curb for composting during the next two weeks. Boston’s Public Works Department will collect Christmas trees for composting from January 7 to January 18. Remove all ornaments, decorations, and stands from trees and do not put trees in plastic bags. Trees must be placed at the curb by 7am on your recycling day.
