Patricia DiNovo

Of Charlestown

Patricia A. (Cummings) DiNovo of Charlestown died on November 8.

She was the beloved wife of the late Bartolo DiNovo; devoted mother of Patricia DiNovo Rosher and her late husband, Dennis, Billy and his fiancée, Patty Dolaher, Russ DiNovo and the late Bart DiNovo; daughter of the late William and Alava Leahy; sister of Maureen Quinn and her husband, Bobby, William Leahy and his wife, Pippy and the late Margaret Hennessey; dear grandmother of Jennifer, Bart, Erin Marie, Cory and Courtney. She is also survived by five great-grandchildren.

Her Funeral will be held from the John H. Sawyer Funeral Home, 329 Bunker Hill St., Charlestown today, Thursday, November 15 at 9:10 a.m. followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Francis de Sales Church at 10 o’clock. Relatives and friends are invited. Burial will be private.

Linda Guerrero

Social Worker

Linda A. (Martocchio) Guerrero. a 15 year resident of Charlestown, formerly of Malden and South Boston, passed into eternal life on November 11at the Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston following a long illness. She was 65 years old.

Born in Revere on September 11, 1947, a daughter of the late Antonio Martocchio and Virginia (Hardy) Martocchio, she grew up in Chelsea where she attended Chelsea Public Schools and graduated from Chelsea High School. She also received her degree in social services from Bunker Hill Community College and worked for many years as a social worker through the Visiting Nurses Association of Lynn. She enjoyed crafts, knitting and cooking.

She was the beloved wife of Jairo Guerrero; the devoted mother of Miguel A. Moralez, Richard D. Moralez, John R. Moralez and Judith A. Moralez, the loving grandmother of 11 and one great-grandaughter. She was the beloved sister of Gail Stiles and Anthony Martocchio and is also lovingly survived by the Guerrero family in Colombia and by many nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her Funeral Mass on Saturday, November 17at 10 a.m. in St. Mary’s Church, 55 Warren St. Charlestown. There are no visiting hours and burial will be private. Edward P. Collins of Charlestown died on November 10.

A retired employee of Raytheon Co. and a US Air Force veteran of the Korean Conflict, he was the beloved husband of Noreen (Murray); devoted father of Edward “Ted” Collins and his wife, Kathleen and Tracie Butler and her husband, Bobby, all of Charlestown, and the late Stephen Collins and his living wife Margaret Collins of Everett and the beloved Papa of seven grandchildren

Marion Donahue

Retired Teacher

Marion C. (Lyons) Donahue of Needham died on November 9. She was 99 years old.

A graduate of Boston University, Class of 1934,  she was  a former teacher at Stoughton High School and a former substitute teacher for the Needham school system.

She was the beloved wife of the late Francis J. Donahue; loving mother of Michael C. of North Easton, Mark H. of Charlestown, Ellen M. of Needham and the late Daniel H. Donahue; dear grandmother of Michelle Devine and Christine Donahue and great grandmother of Finbar, Brendon and Soleil.

Eileen Arsenault

Of Tewksbury, formerly of Charlestown

Eileen M. (Carroll) Arsenault of Tewksbury, formerly of Malden and Charlestown, died on November 8. She was 72 years old.

She was the beloved wife of the late Wilfred J. Arsenault Jr.; mother of Joseph Arsenault and his wife, Amie of Groton, Jean McDermott and her husband, Dan of Tewksbury, David Arsenault and Sharon Palmisano of Wilmington and Stephen Arsenault and his wife, Brenda of Tewksbury; grandmother of Justin, Casey, Jarrett, Kylie, Liam, Brady, Jake Patrick, Amber and Stephen Jr. ; sister of Mary Toomey of Woburn, Hugh Carroll of Malden and the late Patrick Carroll. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Of Winthrop, formerly of Charlestown

Lillian I. (Schena)  Ahern of Winthrop, formerly of Charlestown, passed away at her residence on November 5. She was 93 years old.

The beloved wife of the late James R. Ahern, she was born in Boston, the daughter of the late Charles J. and Irene (Gallagher) Schena; the devoted mother of Judith Nichols of Exeter, NH, James Ahern and his wife, Ida of Marblehead and Geraldine Magnasco and her husband, James of Winthrop; adored grandmother of nine and great-grandmother of 16.

John Noska, Jr. of Charlestown died on November 7. He was 86 years old.

He was a proud U.S.Marine Corps veteran of World War II, a lifetime member of V.F.W. Logan Post 6800 Somerville and D.A.V. Chapter 17.

He was the beloved and adoring husband of 66 years to Anna I. (Marshall) Noska; devoted father of John Noska and his wife, Kathleen of Whitman, Michael Noska and his wife, Susan of Stoneham, Robert Noska and his wife, Heather of Revere, Ann Cullity of Wakefield, Claire Short and her husband, Michael of Billerica and Janet Scanlan and her husband, Joe of Tewksbury; loving grandpa to 21 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren and beloved brother of Celia Rudski of Randolph.

Kenneth V. Awbrey of Charlestown died on November 5. A US Navy veteran of World War II, he was the beloved husband of the late Helen V. (Marcella); devoted father of Marcia Cunha and her husband, Thomas of Charlestown and Denice Awbrey of Lowell and the late Wayne Awbrey; grandfather of Nicholas, Alison, Andrea and Ashley; great grandfather of Sophia and brother of the late Daniel Awbrey.
