The Battle Of Bunker Hill Parade Committee is proud to announce that the Chief Marshall of the 2012 parade will be James “Jim” Considine.
Jim grow up in Charlestown and graduated from Charlestown High School in 1965.
Jim served in the Air Force during the Viet Nam War as a Air Policeman in the Strategic Air Command. He received a Bachelors Of Science degree from Boston State College in 1976 and a graduate degree from Suffolk University in 1979.
Jim had a distinguished career with the Metropolitan District Police and the Massachusetts State Police. His responsibilities with the State Police included Station Commander, Officer In Charge of the Motor Cycle Unit and Shift Commander of Troop H. He has been State Police coordinator for the July 4th Esplanade Celebration, Boston Marathon and Tall Ships events. He recently retired as a Lieutenant.
Jim and his wife, Judith, have two daughters.
This year’s parade will commemorate the 237th anniversary of the Battle Of Bunker Hill and will be held on Sunday. June 10, 2012 starting at 12:30 P.M..
The parade committee would like to thank the Charlestown Patriot-Bridge for continuing the practice of acknowledging contributions of $25.00 or more and the filling in of the monument to show the total amount of funds received.
