Giang Nguyen, a visitor from Ohio, is shown reading the names of those who served in the Korean War at Charlestown’s Korean War Memorial.

The Board of Directors of the Charlestown Branch of the Boston Public Library would like to thank Johnny’s Food Master, the Joy of Old and the Bunker Hill Florist for helping in the sale of the historic library calendars.  All proceeds benefit the children and adutls in our branch as the funds are used for programs during the year.  The calendars show Main Street in 1900 and again in 2000 to show the changes that were made. The front cover shows the USS Constitution as it is the 200th anniversary of the Battle of 1812.

Some calendars are still available for only $5 at the library and at the Joy of Old.
