Police Briefs 07-28-2011

07/18/11 – Larceny

A victim on Dunstable Street reported that unknown person(s) stole his black Peace Sports scooter from in front of his residence.

07/19/11 – Bank Robbery

Officers responded to Rutherford Avenue for a bank alarm. Bank tellers confirmed the bank had in fact been robbed. A description of the suspect was broadcast and responding officers observed the suspect running on Rutherford Avenue towards Austin Street. After a brief chase, the individual was apprehended and placed under arrest. Investigators are still looking for a possible second suspect.

07/20/11 – Breaking and Entering, Residence

A victim on Corey Street reported that someone entered her home and stole electronics and jewelry. The victim believes someone may have used a key due to the fact there were no signs of forced entry. This matter is under investigation.

07/20/11 – Breaking and Entering, Residence

A victim on Medford Street repored that someone pried open the outer door of her building, went upstairs, and then broke the locks on her condo door to gain entry to her home. Electronics and various pieces of jewelry were taken. Detectives are investigating.

07/20/11 – Breaking and Entering, Residence

A victim on Medford Street reported that someone pried open his apartment door, entered, and stole various electronic items and a coin collection. This matter is under investigation.

07/20/11 – Vandalism

A victim on Bunker Hill Street reports someone cracked the front window of his storefront. Source of the damage is unknown at this time.
