Arguably the greatest “Townie” female athlete ever, Ellen left a spectacular collegiate sports legacy. A member of the Suffolk University Hall of Fame, she still holds several school records in both basketball and softball. Ellen was also a standout infielder and pitcher in the Charlestown Little League and Babe Ruth baseball programs, displaying signs of future stardom by outhitting and striking out many of her male counterparts. As has been often said, “they just don’t make ‘em like that anymore.”
